What is Heroscape?

 

         The Battle of All Time! Valkyrie Generals have summoned warriors from across time and space to battle for control of a powerful resource called the Wellspring. Players will act as generals in this conflict by building armies and battling it out on modular 3D terrain. 

        Devastate your opponent with Heroes that boast powerful abilities, or squads that will outnumber and outmaneuver their forces. Join the Battle for the Wellspring to test your skills and see who commands the ultimate army! 

 

        For June we’ll be hosting an All-Time ‘Fog of War’ tournament. In this tourney, all range values are reduced to 4 as the maximum. Additionally, all abilities that require Clear Line of Sight can likewise only target/affect figures within 4 spaces as well.

        Your army will be forced into the thick of it; Both players are destined to collide in the middle in a glorious melee battle! Consider this while building your army, and come up with strategies to dominate against a melee threat. 

 

When and Where?

 

        This tournament will be on Saturday, June 13th, at 11:00 a.m. It will last until 3:00 p.m. Players are encouraged to arrive at 10:45 a.m. to have time to set up.

 

         It will take place at Nexus Gaming Lounge, inside of the Sikes Senter Mall. Mall doors will be open by 10:30 am.

 

The Format for this tournament is:

 

All Time - Fog of War

500 Point Armies

Figure Limit: 24   Hex Limit: 24

 

All Time: 

Players may use any figure released in Heroscape (With the exception of Marvel).
 

Fog of War: 

        As stated above, all figures will have their Range Values reduced to a Maximum of 1. Additionally, all Line-of-sight abilities can only target figures within 4 spaces.
Attacks with an Area of Effect may still damage figures beyond 4 spaces away, so long as the initial target lies within the 4-space threshold. Line Attacks may also affect figures more than 4 spaces away, however we will be implementing a clause that at least one affected figure must be within the 4-space threshold.
 

500 Point Limit:

Your army may only include figures whose cumulative Point Value is equal to or less than 500.
 

Figure Limit: 24

Your army may only include 24 figures at maximum.
 

Hex Limit: 24

Your army may not take up more than 24 tiles while on the battlefield.

 

Entry Cost and Prizing:

 

It will cost $15 per person to participate in the tournament.

 

Top two players will receive store credit. The amount received depends on the number of participants.

Additionally, if the number of participants exceeds 8, then store credit will also be issued to the third place player.

 

The tournament will support up to 12 players. Sign ups will be on the Renegade’s Play Heroscape website.
