Utah R. Robertson

Operations Manager

Utah R. Robertson has been playing Table Top RPGs for over a decade focusing primarily on Dungeons & Dragons, which is what he cut his teeth on. He manages the day-to-day operations at The Nexus.  He works hard every day to ensure that everyone's gaming experience is world-class! Utah holds both a Masters and Bachelors in the area of Theatre and has given most of his academic time towards the study of story design and character development, both leading to a successful career as a Dungeon master and Keeper of Arcane Lore for those that play Call of Cthulhu. His play style is best described as rich with story and character creation with an emphasis on player enjoyment. Laughter is never far from the table during one of his games even if that means the BBEG is the only one laughing. As far as certain system rules go, Utah believes the rules are there not to hinder a player, but rather to cause them to come up with creative ways to break them; the story will always win a battle with the rules at his table. Finally, if it is funny voices, sound effects, and rich lore you are wanting then Utah is the man for you. As an actor he boasts a plethora of unique voices, accents, and mannerisms that will add flavor to every session.

Bobby Hicks

I began playing and running tabletop RPGs in highschool as a way to bond with my peers, and over the last 25 years I have gained experience with countless different games covering almost every genre imaginable. I specialize in the Sci-Fi and Horror genres, but I will run anything my players want to play as their investment is really what fuels my passion for running games. With my broad experience with different game systems I can probably find just the right ruleset to fit the gameplay experience you are looking for!

Molly Satterfield

Molly Satterfield is a Wichita Falls native who has always enjoyed the art of storytelling and adventure, whether
reading books, writing stories, playing video games, or role top playing games like Dungeons and Dragons and similar
games.

Molly is also a self-proclaimed nerd who enjoys Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Adventure, whether it's classics like Lord of the Rings to Doctor Who, and everything in between. She loves being a part of any story, and enjoys her role as a DM/GM to help others discover the same magic and adventure that she has found.

Molly is very excited to help would-be adventurers of all ages on their journey as a guide to the massive realm of RPG and tabletop games. Whether you are a parent who wants to help your child discover a new hobby, or you are a die-hard fan yourself who wants some awesome new ways to bond as a family, she is here to ensure that everyone has a great time and makes new memories to cherish for years to come!

Hi, I’m Ed. Growing up, I was a military brat and had a lot of exposure to different people, cultures, and… GAMES! I cut my teeth on the first Basic D&D Boxed Set from 1979 when I was 8, and I have been gaming ever since. My gaming experience covers a wide variety of systems & settings from all editions of D&D past & present to Shadowrun, Shadow of the Demon Lord, Cyberpunk, Fading Suns, Rifts, and many, many more! My current favorites are Shadow of the Demon Lord, Shadowrun Sixth World, Fading Suns: Pax Alexius, Astonishing Swordsmen & Sorcerer of Hyperborea, Solar Blades & Cosmic Spells, and Talislanta. D&D is still in there, of course, but there’s a whole world of other games out there to explore, too. I would be more than happy to explore them all with you!

After a 16-year break from TTRPGs I came back to the table in late 2019. The love for the games and
worlds was renewed instantly. As a DM, my job is to dictate the player’s stories, not write them. What I
mean by that is simply, the players are telling a story together, I just set up situations for them to do so. I
enjoy running worlds where things are not always exactly as they seem. Political situations or mysteries
can be as common as combat. I also follow rules as written most of the time, however, there is always a
place for “the rule of cool”. Why let vague wording ruin a great narrative after all.

Ben Chance is a DM and GM with several years of experience. He is most experienced in the worlds of Star Wars, Eberron, and Ravenloft. His hobbies include history, gaming, and just about anything Star Wars. Games tend to include a focus on roleplaying with some combat. For most games expect some mix of drama, action, and comedy.

Jaden has been playing Magic: the Gathering for seven years and is a certified rules advisor.  Whenever he's not thinking about playing Magic, he's playing Magic.  Jaden helps organize card game events for the Nexus, and he's excited to help create a fun environment for all kinds of players to enjoy.

Braden has multiple years experience with a variety of wargames including Warhammer 40k, Mordheim, and Warhammer fantasy (pre Age of Sigmar). More recently he has also been learning and playing other games such as Killteam, War cry, Necromunda, Blood Bowl, and Battletech. Braden enjoys introducing new players to the variety of wargames available and feels there is a table top wargame that anyone can learn and enjoy.

Lance Maxwell began his journey into the world of game mastering of Table Top RPGs in 2013. He’s always learning new systems, seeking to find the best way to help manifest the stories that are waiting within you to come to life. His goal for players is to make life-long memories that are told and remembered as legendary adventures. Specializing in homebrewed campaigns, Lance excels in helping groups breathe life into the worlds they imagine their characters to live in. By communicating with the players on their expectations of the game, he prides himself on allowing the players to become the author of their own character’s destiny. Never one to hold back from behind the GM screen, your stories will spring to life with risky combats, engaging NPCs, and treacherous villains. A world builder, writer, gamer, father, and thespian, there’s no shortage of ways for him to entertain, no matter the age.
